Hi, I'm Kim and I am considering starting a Teak and native hardwood plantation in Costa Rica.  I want to sell a percentage of the harvest to US investors but my attorney tells me that I will be selling securities.  If I sell securities, he says, I have to jump through all the hoops of the SEC and it could cost in excess of $100,000 in legal and filing fees.  Does anybody know how I avoid this so as to make the cost to the investor more reasonable?  Thanks!
